KALYANRAM in "HARERAM"

KalyanRam and Priyamani are paired up for next movie titled HARERAM. This movie is directed by SwarnaSubbaRao who directed Balakrishna's Vijayendravarma. And he says that "the shooting has being completed and kalyanramm is playing a dual role in this flick, audio will release in this month and movie will be hitting the screens in may". The film is being produced by Nandamoori Janakiram.

Tollywood calling

Looks like now it is VIKRAM's turn to test waters in Tollywood. Life seems to have turned a full circle for the actor, as the stage is set for the launch of his Telugu venture. Vikram had started his career with small budget films in Telugu, before moving to Tamil films, which is where he found stardom. He is playing the lead opposite SHREYA SARAN in Mallanna, the Telugu version of the Tamil film titled Kandaswami. Sources say that BOMMARILLU BHASKAR will direct the yet-tobe titled Tolllywood venture starring Vikram. GOGAVALLI PRASAD is producing the film which is expected to hit the floors soon.

A low-key release for Kantri?

Here is good news for all NTR fans who are eagerly awaiting the release of Kantri, which will hit the screens on May 1. But if you are expecting a Jalsa style promotion to kick off in the lead up to the release, you will be surprised to know that will not be the case for this NTR-HANSIKAA starrer. "I prefer keeping a low profile and firmly believe in hard work and good content. NTR's performance and PRAKASH RAJ's characterisation are the USP of the film and I think their powerhouse performances will take care of all publicity. Of-course Hansikaa's presence will add that touch of glamour," says the director, MEHER RAMESH. Perhaps that is the reason why the music was also released without any ado. But considering ASHWINI DUTT is producing Kantri one would have expected more hungama. For his last production Chirutha, Ashwini Dutt had pulled out all the stops to ensure a super-hyped release. But then he seems to have realised that at the end of the day what matters is how much moolah the film rakes in, nothing else.

Bhumika is currently shooting for director V SAMUDRA's upcoming venture, Mallepoovu. She has also been signed up to play the lead in another crime thriller being directed by SRINIVAS KUMAR. SRIKANTH will be her co-star in this untitled film. That's not all. Sources say that Bhumika has given her verbal consent for another racy thriller titled 90 Minutes, to be directed by E NIVAS. After the success of Ansuya, it seems like this ravishing actress is dealing only in thrillers!

Hansikaa on demand

Debuting last year with the successful Desamuduru, teenaged beauty HANSIKAA MOTWANI's stock seems to be headed skyward. She is also playing the lead in the NTR starrer Kantri, which is scheduled for a high-octane release next month. The actress might not have much time to ponder over her next release as she has already been signed up to play the lead in producer MS RAJU's next venture. Another son of the NTR family, RAM will be playing the lead in this film, say sources. B GOPAL will be directing the film, which is touted to be an explosive love story. With Mr Gopal at the helm we cannot expect anything less, can we?

Jalsa rocking towards big hit

Pawan Kalyan's Jalsa was released on 2nd April. The first week collections will come by tomorrow evening (9th April). Before that the film is heading towards big hit at domestic box office as well as overseas market. The film is really doing well in US. The film has showed its strength at the box office by collected Rs8 crores on the first day itself. Audiences are accepting the film as best entertainer irrespective of the class and Mass. It is getting the good results at the box office and It is the best entertainer for this summer with Trivikram's entertaining dialogues.
