Srija gave birth to a baby girl at Taraporewala Nursing Home, East Marredpally, on Saturday at around 9.30 am.
Srija had run away from home and married her lover Sirish Bharadwaj on October 17 last year at an Arya Samaj mandir in Bowenpally.
The new arrival brought the two families—Srija's and Sirish's—together for the first time. Also, an elated Chiranjeevi called up his daughter and conveyed his happiness.
Earlier in the day, Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha, son Ram Charan Teja and brother-in-law Allu Arvind met the new mother and the new-born at nursing home. When asked why the star himself had not turned up, Surekha said: "He is not in the city and is busy." The actor is likely to meet her late in night as he did not want any media attention.
Chiranjeevi spoke to Srija over the phone and blessed his grandchild. "He told his daughter that he is happy with the news and his blessings are with her," a close relative of the family said.
A very tired Srija, who underwent a Caesarean operation, said she "is happy to be a mother". "We wanted it to be a low-profile event," she added.
The couple said that they were not expecting Chiranjeevi's family members to turn up and when they did it came as a surprise. "Srija and the baby were blessed both by her mother, her brother and uncle. Though there were problems, they did turn up after the delivery. Since this was the first meeting after the marriage, it was an emotional moment for all of us," Sirish told media. "Though the delivery was scheduled for August, it had to be done earlier. It is a premature baby," Sirish Bharadwaj said.
Though locals came to see the mother and child, no one was allowed to see the baby. The new father said veda pandits from Rajahmundry would come to do pujas for the new born.

NO SALE OF BLOOD AT "chiru's blood bank"

D Krishna Rao, administrative officer, Chiranjeevi Eye and Blood Bank, has stoutly denied the allegations that the bank was operating on commercial lines. "Blood is supplied absolutely free of cost to the needy in our blood bank. We will give blood to anyone who walks into our bank with a letter from a hospital without taking a single rupee. Every year, the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank supplies 30,000 units of blood," Rao told Deccan Post.
An executive working in the blood bank, however, said blood is given free of cost for a white ration card holder but for others, a nominal charge of Rs 375 per unit is collected. "However, if you are already registered as a blood donor in the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank and if you are in need of blood, you will get it free of cost, provided you produce the blood bank card. Those who need blood will have to produce a letter from a hospital with blood group along with blood sample," he said.

Maskaa is the title confirmed for Ram's next film for Sumanth Arts banner in the direction of B.Gopal. Already 10 days of schedule is completed for the film and the second schedule started from 5th JUly. MS Raju termed the film to be a romantic action entertainer. Hansika is the heroine in the film. Naresh, Sunil, Mukesh Rishi, Pradeep Rawat, MS Narayana, KRishna Bhagawan, Dharmavarapu, Paruchuri are in the cast. Music is by Chakri. MS Raju handles screenplay along with producing it.

mahesh babu-thrilled by seeing "DASAVATRAM"

Mahesh Babu is thrilled watching Kamal Hasan's Dasavataram. He reportedly used superlatives like extraordinary and said that this is possible only for Kamal Hasan. 'Attention to detail, makeup and all the characters turning out wonderful made this film a good experience. Hatsoff to Kamal', said Mahesh.

This is for 3 weeks. in Ceded, the film collected 1 crore 60 Lakhs in 2 weeks. Krishna Dist recorded 70 lakhs share, Guntur 75 Lakhs, East & West collected 95 Lakhs and Vizag did a share of 1 crore in 2 weeks. The film will release as Dasavatar in Hindi very soon.

As sources reported, Chiranjeevi's daughter Sreeja delivered baby girl this morning(july 5th) at 9:21 AM here at a local hospital in hyderabad. Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha, son Ramcharan Teja, Allu Aravind and his wife reportedly visited the hospital and spent about 1 hr.
