Rambha gets busy in Tollywood

Beautiful Rambha has been getting a lot of film offers in Telugu, but she was waiting for the right subject. Now, having found one, Rambha has signed a Telugu film opposite a newcomer. The film, also starring the versatile actor Prakashraj, has been titled Pratikshanam and will be launched tomorrow at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad at 10:30 a.m. (Rambha is currently acting in the Tamil film Vidiyum Varai Kathiru, which also stars Prakashraj.)
Apart from Prakashraj and the debutante hero (whose name remains unrevealed), the film also stars Riyaz Khan, Mumaith Khan, and Sampath. It will be directed by Vyas. Pallavi Srinivas produces the film. The camera will be handled by famous cinematographer of Kollywood, Panneer Selvam. Editing is by Swaraj Ravi.
The highlight of this film – besides Rambha and her glamour – is its music, which has been composed by A.R. Rahman’s associate Taj Noor. The songs he has composed for this film so far have come out very well. It is said that Taj Noor will be a name to reckon with after the release of this film.
Now, this news will silence those who are spreading malicious rumours about Rambha.

Anushka dares to bare!

Anushka, the shapely ex-yoga teacher turned top heroine, is all primed to do what Nayantara has done, i.e. walk down to a swimming pool in an itsy-bitsy bikini. A while back, we carried news that Anushka was OK with a bikini scene as long as the script required it.
And now, she’s got the chance! Prabhas is all set to remake Ajit’s Billa in Telugu. The buzz is that he had approached Nayantara, but she turned him down as she felt that golden actions should never be repeated.
When Anushka was approached, she felt since it would be quite a slick production, she was happy to accept the project and dared to bare for this prestigious project. Presented by U. Krishnam Raju under Gopikrishna Movies, Meher Ramesh will be directing the as-yet untitled movie. The movie will have two more heroines whose names are not yet revealed.

Baby Shamili debuts opposite Siddarth
generally supposed that child artistes turn into lead stars after they grow up. Baby Shamili, who wowed audiences with her superlative performance in the Mani Rathnam directed ’Anjali’ as a mentally challenged child, seemed to defy the rule. Sister of Shalini Ajithkumar and Richard, this pretty young girl was approached by many directors to play the heroine in their flicks. However, their efforts turned futile. Now, a debut director in Telugu, Anand Ranga has managed to rope in Shamili as the heroine for his film which has Siddarth playing the hero. Anand Ranga, who has worked as an associate for the blockbuster hit ’Bommarillu’, is said to have impressed Shamili with the story. This made Shamili to sign on the dotted line. The film, which is touted to start rolling in the first week of October, is being produced by DVV Danayya under the banner Universal Media

SALEEM-vishnu and mohan babu acting together?
Now, before you press the panic button and ensure that this turns out to be big let us clear the air for you. All this is happening in the forthcoming film 'Saleem' and while Vishnu is playing hero, Mohan Babu is donning the role of a villain. The glamour quotient for this film will be filled by the slender beauty Ileana
This will be an interesting treat to watch since both Vishnu and Mohan Babu have always worked as a team and it will be a crucial point to note how the chemistry between both on a negative spark will work. It also shoulders on director Y V S Choudhary to actually come up with that sync between the two

TRISHA AND KAMAL HASAN
According to a reliable source, the actress will sign on the dotted line soon. Apparently, Kamal himself narrated the script and she was totally overwhelmed by his approach and agreed immediately. She has been asked to allocate a chunk of shooting dates for the venture, almost six months.
Trisha is currently working on three movies namely, King with Nagarjuna in Telugu, Chennayil Oru Mazhai Kaalam with Gautham Menon, and Sarvam with Vishnuvardhan. Right now, she is busy shuffling the dates to accommodate the new film. There are a couple of other actresses in the film but the lead heroine opposite Kamal is Trisha. When Trisha who was shooting for King in Hyderabad was contacted, the actress said that it was premature to talk about it and did not want comment as of now

Namitha wants more temples in her honour
Fans are constructing a temple for top Tamil actress Namitha in Tirunelveli district and she says she wouldn’t mind more shrines built in her honour. "This state already has a temple for Khushboo. Fans can go ahead and build more temples for me. I’m a secular person, so my temple too should be open to all religions," Namitha said at the inauguration of a jewellery store here.
"I would also like people to help financially weak students in their quest for education," added the actress.
The actress scotched rumours about her political career saying: "My only interest other than acting is in the field of sports," she said.
Born on May 10, 1980 in Surat, Gujarat, Namitha is a rage in the south Indian film industry due to her steamy roles in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films.
She is the second actress to have a temple in her name. It is being built in Tirunelveli, which is 600 km from Chennai.
The first was Khushboo who had a temple dedicated to her, but it was demolished following her remarks on premarital sex
